Student governance and the BSA.

The Botanical Society of America is a membership organization. The officers and staff of the BSA would like to meet with students to discuss student participation in the activities of the Society. Discussion topics include 1) student representation to the Executive Committee (the governing board of the Society); 2) student service on BSA committees; 3) the formation of a student run council that would contribute to the ongoing activities of the Society; 4) recruitment of new student members; 5) activities and services that would increase student participation in the BSA and the annual meeting. We welcome discussion of additional topics.
